Hello again everyone.

September is here and I want to kick things off with a whole lot of really great news. First off, newsletters by the month is the plan moving forward and possibly even more frequently as things begin to spool up further in development. To get right to the point, things have been moving forward behind the scenes pretty consistently. Most of the time spent lately has been the upgrade to a newer Unity version and newer prototype assets to make the prototype builds far cleaner and richer in presentation... These prototypes have had about half a dozen iterations and the current one is starting to resemble an actual game.

There are dozens of key optimization techniques we have been working on, occlusion culling, ambient occlusion, post-processing stack to name a few. What this means to non-developers who may be reading this is simply a better looking end product as a game. Also and far more importantly the graphic style and presentation has been very much zeroed in on and moving forward we will be using a stylized art that somewhat resembles the World of Warcraft type environments and characters. However the ones we are using are actually more detailed then WoW in most regards. We believe that this graphic style is the most likely to gain a strong attraction from would-be players and hopefully capture a very wide audience.
